Ultra desirable boutique label dress from the 1960s.
Known as 'The Biba of Brompton Rd' The boutique was run by friends Jane Lyle and Maggie Keswick 2 very well connected ‘It’ girls. Everyone who was anyone shopped at the boutique which as well as selling their own designs also stocked concessions by other designers including new designer Laura Ashley. The label featured heavily in Vogue magazine at the time.
The dress is a beautifully tailored empireline cut with an A line ankle length skirt. The dress is navy blue Heavy grosgrain with very dark blue velvet ribbon trim throughout. The dress is fully lined. Zips up through the back.
