Brown natural wool smock dress
A line mid calf length dress with smocked yoke back and front.
Long huge balloon sleeves with buttoned cuff.
Zip front opening
Pockets either side with embroidered detail surround.
Lined throughout the body and half sleeves.
This beautiful dress was made in the early 70s of the wool from Annas own flock of Jacob sheep.
Taken from the Guardian Newspaper obituary:
" Anne ( anna was her professional name) was instrumental in saving the rare-breed Jacob sheep, working with Lady Aldington and the Holywell Textile Mill in north Wales to transform the distinctive but rough fleece into beautiful cloth in natural tones, which culminated in her celebrated Anna Roose Jacob Collection "
